Re: DSM: Discourse on Voluntary Servitude

It seems to me that this issue is one of authoritarianism--one having
absolute control over another. This is a big issue in many facets of society,
and when children lose their freedom, as the animals do, they revolt, then
become submissive, but at any time may strike out, as many circus trainers
and teachers can attest.
The only alternative is to respect the right to freedom, and allow children
and animals to be themselves, with as little restriction as possible. So well
done, anyone doing this in Sudbury model schools!
