Well, I think that NOT following the model and NOT empowering students is an
example of putting people (adults) before ideas (the idea that students
thrive when they're in charge).
So I don't see how going into something with a specific model in mind is
more dangerous than going into it in a manner in which the whims and desires
of adults will move the school into fruition. In fact I think not having a
destination that everyone can look at and agree on is far more dangerous for
parents who are interested in getting involved.
I'm not speaking specifically to Connie's school now, just in general.
