I was trying not to write on this minority/whatever problem. My "science"
stinks. I just see kids. Lots of them, each from a different background
from all of the others. Some differences are small; some are large.

At Sudbury Valley, and to my knowledge this is true at all Sudbury schools,
differences are accepted, often celebrated, and people go on. Discovering
yourself, focusing on things that are of interest to you, helping build a
community -- these are not such majority values. Everyone seems to be able
to be part of them if they so desire. I cringe when I hear problems
particular people have or do not have in the school(s) ascribed to cultural
differences. I just don't believe it.
