I think open campus is a great idea, but remember that you, the staff,
are legally responsible for these children while they are in your care,
no matter how democratically you may care for them. The parents may have
faith in them or you, but may also blame you if the child is hurt during
"school time." Because of this, certification and signing out and in
sounds like a good idea. I don't know how many students you have, but I
know that if I was a mom with fifteen kids, I'd probably have them sign
in and out so I knew/could remember where they were at any given time!!
