with views like mine are either foolish or heartless. I don't think
so. There are solid reasons to believe that a free society is a good
idea. Not perfect. Perfection doesn't seem to be one of the options.
The majority opinion today is that we can build a better society
through government coercion and force. So we identify the "bad" people
and go after them. Or we come up with "good" ideas and make everyone
go along with them. I've tried to point out just a few of the moral
and practical problems with this approach. And I've tried to explain
an alternative view that some people may want to consider.
