Dear Kirsten:
You might be surprised to hear that the former students in the
Modern School have a reunion every year, even though the last Modern
School that we know closed in 1958. That was Nellie Dick's school,
and she died this year at 102. I have several taped interviews I did
with her.

Thios year's reunion will be at the Modern School Archive at Rutgers University
an the 27th and 28th (Mostly the 28th). One of the people who is
coming to this reunion is Alfred Levitt, who was a student at
the Modern School, and went on to become a world-famous artist. He
has 20 paintings hanging in the Metropolitan Museum. He wants to
start a new Modern School in New York City. He is 102 years old!
